Last October it felt like i could hear complacency hiding around the corner, waiting for me with its metal rake sitting prongs-up.
I had won the lottery with a full-time graphic design job. And while I got paid to open Photoshop every day, I hadn’t gotten any better at the types of designs I was really passionate about.
Turns out corporate-type clients really love the font Poppins and the color blue, so I had no reason to come up with new ideas.
I decided to design a new poster every day for a month. I spent that time browsing art museum archives, downloading new fonts, watching tutorials, and I was reminded just how fun it is to learn and improve.
